Last week, Inside Indiana Business reported that once again, Indianapolis placed in the top 10 and was the Midwest’s highest ranking “Business Climate” city in 2011, according to Site Selection Magazine. Indy moved up 2 notches from last year’s #8 spot to a #6 finish this year. The selections are based on a number of economic indicators, as well as a survey of business executives.
What does this say about Indianapolis and the business outlook as 2012 approaches? My business, CARMEN Commercial Real Estate Services, is beginning to see the light at the end of the recession tunnel, having served a number of clients this year who are expanding their operations and taking on additional office space, one of the indicators cited in the survey.
It is encouraging to see some positive movement in the Indianapolis market, and nice to have the validation of what we all know….that our city is indeed, a great place to work and live.
